I have a T/D recurve and I want to put a gasket between the limbs and riser. I have seen both felt and thin rubber used in the past. Which type material do you prefer and where can I buy some.
Thanks in Advance
Also do you think this gasket is needed to provide a silencer effect ?
I cure the creaking with a thin coat of petrolium jelly or string wax.
I thinly smeared a dab of silicon rubber on the riser limb pads. Don't know if it was needed or not, since I did that from day one. But I would like to hear from the more experienced bowyers.

thanks Dan, that is a better way to describe what I need, RISER LIMB PADS.
Well, I didn't mean actual pads. I just meant the surface that the limbs mate with. But a rubber gasket or mole skin may be a good thing to try.
2" wide velcro at Walmart.
How about a piece of balloon sandwiched in there?
A piece of tyvek works great. A great source are the Fedex overnight envelopes. I'm sure if you look around you can readily find some tyvek. I've once used the warning label on on an outdoor folding chairs.
