Well it's been awhile since we hunted with Brent Driggers and had the conversation about the possibility of a horn SoothSayer. We had to engineer the bow, build prototypes, experience failure, but all and all I think it turned out. . .GREAT!!! This bow is 66" ntn and pulls 60# @ 28"

I'm dissapointed to say the least, thought I was getting another new bow
One of The Other Brent's :jumper:
Is this gonna be something you will start making on a regular basis???
Yep It's a bow we do now. We actually have one to put on the in stock list when we get back from our javie hunt this week.

:bigsmyl:
I don't care who you are, that's plain cool! You guys sure make some beautiful bows Mike! :saywhat:
Thats a fine looking stick!
What kind of horn do you use, Mike?
Do you use hide glue for joining the horn to the core?
And do you groove the core and horn for a better/larger gluing surface?
Beautiful piece of workmanship. Love them snake skins!
That is one nice bow.I like the skins. Leon
Nice!
Now that's cool right there, I don't care who ya are...
Very cool.
Mike. whoa. Man that is a work of art. I cant wait to get my hands on it. You and Jason are going to have to work really hard to top this one! Now youve gone and done it though. How am I going to get any work done this week? :bigsmyl:
That bow is ALMOST too pretty to shoot. Almost...
Thanks again Mike.
I have a dozen heavy footed douglas firs waiting on her and hog season kicks in any day now.
I am going to post more pics when it gets here, because I know that those up top dont quite do that bow justice.
Well how's it shoot?
Mike
WOW!! That's one fine bow!!
like a dang rocket! truly a war bow. I understand what you meant when you said aim low. amazingly I havent even put string silencers on the bow yet and it is really quiet. Its got so much mass in the riser that its completely dead in the hand. Theres an absolute lack of harmonic that I have heard with every FG bow I have shot.
Thanks Mike and Jason. by the way Jason, great work on the riser.
It is the best shooting longbow that I have owned for sure. The combination of the horn, snakeskin and contrasting woods in the riser are beautiful, but the weight, lack of sound and superflat trajectory makes it feel like a lifelong hunting bow.
