Hey guys
Looking for input on who makes the best custom wood and carbon arrows.
Thanks
Bob :archer:
Almost everyone here makes a fine custom arrow. I would speculate that most consider theirs among the best as well.
Check Ron LaClairs site---I have heard nothing but good about his line of arrows, and Foxfire archery as well.
I think Jeffery's analysis is pretty spot on. Any of the top makers will make an excellent arrow. It comes down to who you like to work with, the individual style of the arrow, and how much you want to pay. I've seen $150 dz arrows that are no different from what anyone makes; they have a nock, feathers, a shaft, and a point. The difference is in the artwork done on the arrow (and possibly what someone wants to be paid for their work).

I agree with JBiorn there are a lot of guys that make great arrows. But to tell you I've always been impressed with arrow art.

"Joseph" Myers on this site makes a fine arrow for a good price. Great person too!
Google Wildcat Canyon Archery, Milt Beens. 970-247-2894. He makes wood only, and every one has a tiny hand painting on it -- either his wildcat logo, or whatever you request -- elk head, deer track, etc. Gorgeous and straight-shooters. dave

If you make them yourself... you do.

I purchase my POC wood arrows from Suzanne St. Charles at Northwest Archery ( www.nwarchery.com (http://www.nwarchery.com) ). She does an excellent job.
Elite Arrows!!!! The best wood arrows I have found.

TOM PARSONS !
Not a better arrowsmith alive. Thats a fact.
Kimsha Archery 301-934-5234.
Great guy and one of the oldtimers that doesn't mind taking his time and do-n it right.
i've been ordering my arrows from badger arrows. i don't have years of experience with different arrow guys; however, Paul definitely takes care of all important details. The arrows are exactly how you want them and his service is great. He is not the most expensive guy you can find either....
jflnt makes awesome arrows
Although it borders on being a rather subjective question, I am very pleased with my laminated birch arrows from Paul Jalon of Elite Arrows.
I sure haven't seen work from all of the arrowmakers out there and I'm sure there are some excellent arrows available. My favorites though are from Whispering Wind arrows. True high quality arrows from a first class individual.

He does indeed, however they sell in a flash, mainly because I buy them all. I have purchased about 10 sets from him in the last 3-4 months.
I like Jim Rebuck arrows from J&M Traditions. They have an ad in TBM. He also has a new video out on arrow making.
Larry Meggers - "Meggers Traditional Archery" has an advertisement in TBM. I've seen a number of his arrows and I don't know how someone could get them to look any more perfect. Meticulous is an understatement.
Will second Paul Mattson at Badger Arrows- Pays attention to the details, great product, and truly impressive service.
Also, check out John at Sipsey River. He'll also go out of his way to help his customers get what they need.
Can't go wrong either way. I promise.

Paul Jalon(sp) Elite Arrows. A sponser here and outstanding arrows.

Arrow Art does a great job! Don
Check out JM Traditions. Jim Rebuck is one of the finest arrowmakers in the world. http://members.aol.com/jmtradit/index/JMTraditions.html
He aslo has a DVD on arrowmaking available and can be purchased from the Enigma Camo website at www.enigmacamo.com. (http://www.enigmacamo.com.) Jim has tons of great tips on arrowmaking, a fantastic DVD.
As mentioned above, Jim Rebuck of J+M traditions makes as fine an arrow as I've seen. His spliced feathers are amazing.
Check out www.bearpawcustomarrows.com (http://www.bearpawcustomarrows.com) Mel there sells a dozen by the same spine weight.(that is all will spine at 50# or whatever spine weight you are looking for). The arrows are beautiful, and Mel is a wealth of information. Also if the spine weight is not correct for your Bow, just send them back and get one of the other weights.
Ted Fry ain't that bad either! His Raptor fletch looks way coooooooool too! I never had a bad arrow from Raptor Archery. Just my two cents.PBNJ
