Title: Removing Glue off Broadheads?
Post by: PastorSteveHill on January 09, 2008, 12:49:00 AM
Well, leave it to beaver again.  I glued in a new foam insert into my quiver last night and thought the goat tuff glue had dried when I stuck my wennsel woodsmans in there and they now have glue on the ends.  Will Acetone take it off without hurting the heads?

Yeah,acetone is just a thinner,it doesn't have acid in it.I think that's your question?

So would it work to remove glue, or do I need something more acidic?

No,it will remove glue. I'm not familiar with goat glue, but but acetone should dissolve it. Can you remove the heads from the shafts easily?

any type of thinner should take it off although you may have to paint your broadheads again

You should just be able to wipe it off then.  No need to remove the heads. :campfire:
