Anyone scaled the same set of limbs on an "A" and a "B" riser??? Seems I read somewhere that a set of xx# limbs would be a little heavier(?) on the shorter riser. Are the limbs weighted/marked for an "A" or "B" riser?
ie...50@28 on a "B" and 5x@28 on an "A"???
The sets of #1 limbs that I have are marked 2lb heavier on an A versus the B handle. When I have scaled them, they either fall right on 2lb up to 3 lbs heavier. The #2 limbs that I have are marked #3 lb heavier on a A versus a B and I have no #3 limbs. The shorter the riser, the heavier the limbs will be. dino
My #3 limbs read 2lbs heavier on an A as opposed to a B also.
Ver13,
Are those grayling or gainsville? I know all of the new #3s are marked #2 heavier for the A's wonder if the grayling limbs were actually scaled.
Are you guys talking about the older model Hunter Takedown that used limb bolts? or the other contraption on newer models?
I am looking for 40-50 lb. limbs for the older model.
I have a set of red tips.
and I though it was cold in Idaho....
I can't find my pic so look here, Larry S added a copy of Bear's directions that listed the various weights on various risers.

Richie,
When A, B, or C risers and 1, 2, or 3 limb lengths, are mentioned, the guys are talking about the Bear take downs with the limb latch system.
These were actually in production in Grayling a long time before the Hunter take down with the limb bolts were built in Gainsville.
Thanks fellas!

I'm glad someone pointed that out before I did. The latch was long before the bolts.
I figured that would get pointed out eventually. lol
Yes that is correct but what I was thinking was due to the bolts being discontinued it would now be the older model in a since.
Now....where can I find limbs for the discontinued model?
Watch the auction site. Not to offend, but that is not one of the more desirable Bears so you may get a bargain.

 I don't think I can follow that logic...in a sense.
