OOOOOHHHH YEAHHHHHH!!!! to quote a bunny hunt the same weekend, We're having a special guest!!!! Better work something up...Doc

Top...Ray's with some of his sheep horn

Middle...Irish's right handed osage(even though he'll be shootin' left...due to skiing mishap  :(

tippit, those are gorgeous knives. Is knife making just a hobby for you, or do you make them on order?

beautiful work!

Oh my, aren't those some pretty things? And look at the color red in that sheephorn! Is that pretty or what??? Look at the difference a little time makes in that osage.

Doc...looking forward to using that one with you guys in a couple weeks.

Ray,  It does have a few streaks of red in it.  Also really neat looking on edge...like glass/see right thru it.

Pete, Just a hobie, haven't gotten good enough to sell anything plus that makes it work

tippit, I understand the 'work' part of it. The good enough part I don't particularly agree with. :-)

Let me know if you ever decide to test the waters, or need to find one a home!

Tippit, what do you use for the brass rivets? Any advice on how to do it? I have a handle I'm working on that I should probably use them on...

If you could PM me, that would be great...

Thanks,
Norb

Ahhhh yeah, sweet lookin blades. You fellers are in for a serious good time, weather should have the hogs bunched up. If you find em, you better have your quiver full of sharp ones and yer hog stickers fer back up!

Norb, I used to use bronse welding rod 1/8" & smaller.  But since I'm pounding these blades out of bar stock steel I like to stay with steel pins...4-8 plain old finishing nails glued in & ground flush.  The bronse is too fancy for my knives  :)

Erm *cough* what???

Dude, you make some of the finest quality hand-forged knives I've ever seen. Seriously, your work is touching up to world class! I've seen hand forged blades alone, not as good as yours, that sell for  hundreds of dollars.

Naaah, Seriously, these are In-cre-di-ble!!! you're a true artist. Damn you and Woody the Stone Age man!!      :notworthy:

Alex,
After listening to your amazing keyboard playing in Boston...you have a deal.  I could always use another swiss army knife especially if we trade at another one of your shows  :)

robtattoo,
Thanks for the compliment especially with the way you produce your beautiful knives.  I hope we get to meet at the changing of the guard in Texas...Doc

Ray has TOO MANY knives and I really like the profile of the one you made for him, so just send it to me!!!!

That way Ray won't get in trouble with the better half for having too many knives.

It is o.k. Ray, you don't have to thank me.  What are friends for??  LOL!!!!

Doc,

Those knives look AWESOME!!!!!!  When are you going to be a part-time Doc and full-time Knife maker?????

Carbon Caster,
Actually I'm down to 3 days a week at the clinic.  Yep it feels mighty good except I seem to see 5 days worth of clients & pets in those 3 days!  It should all sort out soon...not complaining though  :)

The Osage looks great!!!!   Osage, the state flower of Kansas (yea, I know its a tree) - or so it seems.  That stuff grows everywhere out here.   Looking forward to the hunt.
