Post by: bbassi on January 07, 2008, 05:05:00 PM
where can I find approx. brace heights for some old bear bows? Specifically a 56" grizzly and a 60" Kodiak Hunter.

Good starting point is about 7 - 7 1/4 inches and can run up near 8 1/2.Some of the Tamerlanes were braced 9" plus.bd

In some of the old Bear catalogs, they list the brace height for Grizzly's at 7 1/2". I have a few of the Grizzly's from the early 60's to the late 60's, and they seem to shoot real good at the 7 1/2" mark. I don't own a Kodiak Hunter, but I would start in the 7 1/4 to 7 1/2" and go from there.
