I prefer the Sony Cameras over other cameras I have used, mainly Panasonic. The 2000 dollar price you are looking for is right at the entry level for pro cameras. I film football games for the school I work at and I film hunts. I have found the automatic setting (Iris, White Balance, Focus, etc.) on the Sony to outperform other Cameras I have used. I really do not like adjusting a lot of manual settings while I am trying to film a hunt, that is just my preference. Sony offers models with 20x optical zoom over the 10x many of the other similar brands. Here are 2 models with 20x zoom and Carl Zeiss optics.
Model number: HDR-FX7
Model number: HDR-FX1000
