Title: Razorcaps for Turkeys
Post by: brmize on January 04, 2008, 12:22:00 PM
Well I am starting to put together my outfit for my first go at Trad Turkey this spring and I am wondering how the local experts feel about the Razorcaps. I have some of the 200 grainers that fly well from my 58lb K-mag. Are they big enough(cutting dia.) to measure up to the 160 Snuffers or 4 blade Zwickeys that seem to be so popular among Trad Turkey chasers? Since they fly good I am reluctant to switch to something else but if there is something substantialy better out there I am open to suggestions.

Thanks,
Brian

They are not that much smaller than a BIG Snuffer and they will work just fine.

The bird I'm holding was killed with a 125 grain Grizzly.  I'm currently using Razorcaps as well. Shot placement is key then size.(ie, if your Razorcaps are shooting well for you and your confident, use them)

Another vote for "if they are flying good, and feel confident, let them fly!!!

As already said...shot placement...I use both snuffers and woodsman....both work the same when to hit the right place....likewise when you don't.

The one in my avatar was shot with a WW. I'm now shooting Razorcaps and I'm confident that they will do a good job as long as shot placement is good.

Thanks guys. I guess I did kind of answer my own question. Time to pack away the longbow and start practicing with the K-mag.

Thanks,
Brian
