Title: longbow design question
Post by: mahantango on January 02, 2008, 09:34:00 PM
A couple of years ago I stumbled into a Cascade Goshhawk, which is a Turkish inspired, seriously reflexed, set-back grip longbow like a Saluki. I understand they are made by Check Mate, basically a Longhorn with a better finish and a 100% mark-up. Amyway, it quickly became one of my all-time favorite bows. With that said, lately I've become really intrigued with Ron LaClair's Shrews. I hear nothing but great things about Ron, his bows and their performance. My search for a Shrew has begun. My question is, what are the theories  behind these two very different designs and the pros and cons of each?
