I haven't been a terribly active member here, but I have gained a great wealth of knowledge from all of your excellent contributions. I appreciate all of the advice, and all of the help that each of you have selflessly offered. I've learned more here in the last six months, than I could have ever hoped to learn on my own. I recently decided that now that I've finished my degree, it's time for me to do something for my country. I enlisted in the U.S. Army. I'll be leaving for basic training in exactly two weeks. Hopefully once I get through all of the training I'll have an opportunity to rejoin this great community of wonderful people. Untill then, Farewell and Good Luck!!!
Be carefull and come back in one piece! GodBless!
HooYah Gray!!

Thank you for stepping up for us. Be careful and God Bless.
Don't be bashful about eating dirt when the situation calls for it. It beats the alternatives.
Good luck and drive on.
Good luck Allen. Hap
Thank You and stop by when you can.
Congrats on the step into the military and thank you for this and your future sacrifices. :readit:
BTW what MOS did you go in for?
Stay safe and keep you head down.
It's not to late to be "One of the Few and the Proud", I'm sure the Marine recruiter is in the same strip mall.
In all seriousness though goodluck to you, and be safe. Most important bits of advice I can give you in this day and age is keep your weapon clean, maintain your gear, watch out for each other.

Thanks for serving in these, the harshest of times. After spending 23 years in, sometimes I wish I was still serving...the comraderie is second to none. Stay safe!! Brian
If you get stationed at Ft. Lewis, WA...look me up...plenty of bows and plenty of targets around the place here. They could use some exercise. Even get you some good food and chance to get away from post.
take care and if you get together with the Canadian army, keep you backs to each other and help each other. You are all in this together.
HOO YAH!
Thank you for you stepping up to protect our Freedom---Makes me proud to be an American!
Know that there will be highs and lows throughout your training cycle and that those of us that served had gone through the same thing or something very similar to your training. We will all be pulling for you.
Take Care of yourself and be safe----Take our call sign with you to basic training --- "IMUA!" (Go Forward)

I did 9 years active duty Army and 12 years in the Army Reserve. Thank you for answering the call.
There will be days you hate it. There will be days you love it. (Kinda sounds like any other job, huh?). But you will ALLWAYS be a SOLDIER.
May God bless you and keep you safe.
Thanx Again

Thank You!!!!! Hurry back and God be with you.
Thanks for your service, and may God Protect You and all our Brave Men and Women Serving our Great Country!
Don't hesitate to sing out if you are ever in need of anything, especially if you get sent to a remote place. I'm sure between us we can come-up with what you need. You've got an extended family here for support Soldier.
This Army/Navy/Marine family will be praying for you! Thank you for answering the call. Position your head appropriately to the situation, watch your six, and come back whole of mind, body and soul. Not everything our government asks you to do makes sense, but it is better than any other on this planet---and remember the ones you really serve are your neighbors/friends/family.
Thank You so much for the support, and kind words. It is people like all of you Tradgangers that make me so proud and willing to serve my country.
Godspeed, youngin'! Thanks for what you are doing for the rest of us!!!

Well, Grayishhues, you're one of us, and to make a choice to interpose yourself between terror and humanity takes a brave, selfless individual. Stay low, trust your instincts, and come back knowing you've given of yourself to help humanity evolve. there is no higher calling: Godspeed.
Thank You and stay well!
Best
Bob
