Very nice Ron!

Ron wrote this a few years back. I remember sitting around a campfire at the Fred Bear Memorial Broadhead shoot and Ron recited the poem by fire light. Even the little kids sat and listened. It was cool.

Do you realize what a wonderful place this has become? To gather such minds as Torges, Thomas, La Clair and even a gent, known as Ferret, who though humble of personality and physical stature, is a poetic giant. My only regret is that on some future cold winter day I won't be able to go to my library, dust off a well worn journal and renew an old yet familiar friendship with these fine gentleman. Thank you Ron for your contribution and thank you Terry for making the thoughts and wisdom of the extraordinary so accessible to the ordinary.

Thanks guys I'm glad you like the poem. I wrote the Ghost Of Armstrong Creek several years ago and it's my favorite poem that I've written.
The picture is from Michigans UP near my deer camp and is the actual Armstrong Creek that inspired the poem. For those that have seen the picture with the buck in the canoe, that was also Arm Strong Creek
A couple of years ago I was ask to recite the poem at the "Campfire Conversations" at the Compton Rendezvous. In the late evening atmosphere around the crackling fire everyone enjoyed it, especially the kids.
I have some copys printed up on heavy parchment suitable for framing that I usually sell at shows but for anyone of the TradGang Family that would like one I'll send a free copy. Just email me your address. :readit:
