I need some pics of nanner arrows in different colors. Im about to make a large purchase on feathers, and havent decided on a good color combo yet. Im leaning on orange cause Ive always liked it, but not much matches it well.
I once saw someones arrows fletched all yellow with nanners, and it looked great.
I may go all flo orange if I cant decide...
Little help.

You don't.....you enjoy the sound!
as the critter cocks his head thuinking "What the heck is that...." its hitting him right behind the shoulder....
That's my theory anyway.....
Need help on Nanners. Not trying to steal the post. Do you use 5 1/2 pre cut, 5 1/2 chopper or the new low profile Nanner chopper? Any trick to quite them down? Thanks Mark
Yes, please tell Osagetree. Those look real nice. Is that a orange wraped and fletched banana I see back there? Thats the color combo Im leaning toward. What brand wraps and fethers did you use?
Thanks
This thread is turning out some really sweet arrows.
ADAM
Where did you get such beautiful arrows?
Thanks
Bob
Kirk, I like your theory, LOL I think the sound great.
You guys know I'm always up of a new experiment with it comes to arrows. I got really excited when i started looking at this thread. My goodness you all do great work. Thought I'd try my hand at it as well.
These are not of the quality you all are doing but I'm kind of impressed with the end results.
My first banana fletched arrows what ya'll think?

Think the pic is way too big and slows loading and reading of this page.
I'm gonna duck now LOL
I think the FOC would be off with those arras just a tad back heavy :biglaugh: .-Scott
:smileystooges:
JC, wherever did you find those olive green barred feathers? Those are ultra cool!
Man Adam. Those natural barred arrow. I would be afraid to use them. They are gorgeous. Man oh man I would love to learn to make something that awesome that I could use myself. AWESOME JOB
Pointy, WOW, the natural colors are fantastic. Might be a bit high though. I wouldn't mess with a chopper cause it might get a bit messy.
What kinda glue do you use with them nanners.
Here's my "Orange Bananas" made by my brother Jeff in Fairbanks (ash shafts). Bubba, I'm still working on my "one color passthru".

More in the mail as this is posted (lam birch this time).
Pointy Sticks,
I was wondering how long it was going to take someone to post something along those lines. The thread actually made it further than I expected.
Bravo...
T.A.C.
Very nice. I was hoping to see some more full orange nanners. You wouldnt happen to know what brand feathers your brother used would you? Almost looks like the Flo Orange AMG's.
Hey pointy sticks, i'm thinking those might make good bear arrows, if baiting isn't illegal in your state....
Zmonster,
I'm embarassed to say I don't know for sure what brand he uses. I know they aren't AMG's, tho. And he burns the fletching rather than chopping. Maybe if he sees this thread he'll chime in.
Here are some I just made this summer.

Terry and Zmonster, I believe they are true flight feathers...they come from 3 rivers.
Damn----you uys make my pitiful attempts look pretty sorry.
I don't have any pics, but I have been using red and black solids. I have some orange rust and some silver ones coming----these will be pretty cool when I dye the crown gold.
Jbiorn, I did the splicing. Lots of work, but love the outcome.
Real purdy arrows fellers, thanks for sharing the pics.
