Title: My arrow
Post by: Dirty Bill on December 25, 2007, 07:59:00 PM
The arrow I killed the deer with last week had been in the bow quiver for 13 years. it weighed 600 grains with a snuffer on it.

I don't remember how heavy the snuffer was,but it's one of the bigger ones. The arrow was cedar, and I made them my self from shafts that I bought.

Out of that batch of arrows,I killed an antelope,a buck, and the antlerless deer last week,so far. The bow is a 60" Trails End Recurve by Dale Dye. 60# at 28".

Just in case ya'all were wondering...   :campfire:

13 Years...that's quite a tradition!
I carried one for three years~ on the fourth I connected with it. I hated hearing it break. We go on, make new arrows, and go forth again.

Seems that is what it is all about. Old archers went before us, new archers come up behind us, and strengthen us, and continue the trail we wend through the wild.

Wonderful!

I was unable to bowhunt for the last 13 years. Sorry for the confusion. The arrow I used has only killed one deer. But,it is still good, might get another one,I hope.   :campfire:
