Title: refresh my memory....wood shafts
Post by: larry on December 25, 2007, 12:20:00 PM
I just bought 3 dozen 5/16" 50-55 POC shafts to make up some arrows for rabbit hunting, but it's been quite qwhile since I've messed with wood.. do I straighten the shafts first, and then stain and seal, or do I stain and seal and then straighten them?

Both. Straighten first restraighten after Check and restraighten as needed when using.(That is not a criticism of wood shafting- I love 'em but some stay straight and others require tweaking for the life of the arrow.
