Title: JV outback bows
Post by: warden415 on December 24, 2007, 05:23:00 PM
Who or what is JV outback bows? I have never seen one or heard about one on here but I have seen several listed in the TBM traditional harvests. In fact, there are 2 listed in the new issue as the bows used to take their game. I have noticed in some past issues also where people have used them to take game. Just looking for any info on them. Steve

This comes up every now and then...

James builds bows as a HOBBY.  He sells them to friends and folks that he can watch shoot them so he can see that the bow is right for them.  You see pictures of them 'cause the guys that get them--HUNT!  He does have family down in WV, so you might be lucky there.

I am lucky enough to have an all Osage JVO:

The bow I bought from James this year is a cocobolo 3 piece longbow.  This is my third JV Outback.  This one is right handed for my 9 year old son, I was afraid there wouldn't be one available when he was ready to hunt with a heavier bow.

Steve, that's too funny. I was thinking the exact same thing as I was going through  TBM this week.

Those bows are beauties. Very classy limb attachment design.

Steve, James is from Michigan.

Norb, you come out to Compton (stay with Joe in the Tipi!) and I will put in a good word for you   ;)
