Very nice article Claudia. Reflections on how we got here are always interesting.
Congradulations on both the article and the Deer.

What a nice story and photo Claudia. Congratulations on your journey with your fathers arrow and sharing it with us all.
I'll be keeping your article handy for a time in the future when my young daughter is ready to read and absorb it.

I just got my copy and had to read the article by Pinecone...and enjoyed it greatly. Thanks for sharing a nice heart-warming experience.
I know I am just one of many who fail to let our dads know how much they mean to us.
What months issue is this?

Feb / Mar 2008
Thanks I thought I lost one
My daughter and her fiance got me a subscription less than two weeks ago and on Monday I received my first issue - featuring Pinecone! Nice going, girl!
I just finished the article, and found it very enjoyable. I'm glad you were able to put your fathers arrows to use and by doing so reconnecting with him.
Thanks for the kind words, everyone. We all owe a debt of gratitude to the people who lifted us on their shoulders and into the horizon of our dreams. In my case relative to the outdoors, it was my Dad. It was an honor to be able to acknowledge him for such an important gift.
Happy New Year and Blessings to All!
Claudia
Well done and said Claudia
Claudia, that was a great read. You sure did him proud :notworthy:
I have one coming out in TBM shortly about sharing time shooting and hunting with the man who got me started, my dad, and my son Cade. I'm very lucky to have them both ......
Claudia.. I just received my copy of TBM the other day and went right to your article first. Three quarters of the way through I was getting a little water in my eye. Wonderful story! And a beautiful tribute to your father. God Bless.
Outstanding read Claudia.Any man can be a father, but it takes someone special to be a dad................... bowdoc
Claudia, I just now finished reading your piece about your father. Excellent. A tip of my hat to you.............Shick
Now THIS is Christmas!!!
I just got in and picked up the mail. There were no bills for me, and my issue of TBM and the new 3Rivers catalog are here!
Now I can read what you all have already read, and see what new goodies are showing up in the wish book!

I have been waiting for my issue to arrive and to actually read it first before commenting. This thread maybe 10 pages down before the dogsled/kayak combo of postal delivery has mine in my paws!
I'm with you Steve. Let's keep this thread close to the top so we won't have to do a search. :-)
Ric, you get yours? I'm still waiting....I think the delivery Kayak sank.....
A very well written and sincere article.
Great article Claudia!
I finally got my copy and have to agree...that was probably my favorite article in this issue. Great job pinecone.
Excellent article. I lost my best friend from high school October 28, 2002. Turns out that Charlie Lamb completed my Sunbear recurve that same day. Every time I have that bow in my hands, I think of the connection of one friend leaving and another entering my life. Well written article that struck a chord with a lot of us. Thank you...
