Hi all, I feel selfish asking for prayers when so many people are in more need than I. I have been trying to find work and relocate to Wisconsin to be near family.
This week I was offered a conditional offer of appointment. It is conditional that I pass 3 tests which I am not worried about. The issue is this position is half way across the country and I have to take them there. Also I have to do it by the end of the month. I am needed to start by June 5 and in order to do this, I need to quit my job of 10 years Monday and move to Wisconsin.
I have positioned myself to make this work but it's a little unsettling to quit something that is for sure and go for something that is only 95% sure. (stats of people who pass). The other unsettling part is it is happening quick. Not much time to think and no time for closure.
The position is with law enforcement doing dispatch and emergency dispatch. I have really wanted this job and I wanted to be in public service saving lives. I spent the last 10 years making people rich off me saving lives and I am moving away from the private sector.
Also please pray for my wife who will be having a hard time with this transition. It will be emotionally challenging for her and I.
Thanks in advance and God bless.

Charlie,
its time to embrace the dream and go step forth in faith! If He brought you to it HE will bring you thru it.
It's not where we live or what we do but HOW we live and How We do what we do.
Have faith brother. It's scary when it all finally comes together like that I'm sure.
I can understand, but perhaps it's just another step in the test of faith...to show you it's not YOU who will make it happen, but He who rules!
Keep the Son in your eyes and go forth with confidence...prayers for you and your bride...
Hows the pup?

Charlie,
Go for it. I have served my country all of my adult life. Now at 67 am finally going to retire for the second time and for good in November from US Customs and Border Protection. First retirement was in 1993 from the US Navy.
Both times were scary, but God will bring you through and provide.

Good luck with this opportunity. Things will work out.

Good luck Charlie and congratulations! I am sure this will all work out for you and your wife. I know you have been wanting to get back home for quite a while, so this opportunity is a blessing and I'm sure your Dad will be happy.
Safe travels and please keep us posted on your progress. I'll be praying for your success on those tests.

Let the Lord be your guide. You have already asked yourself all of the right questions and have gotten the answers you need. I can understand your trepidations, but if this what you really want, enjoy the opportunity presented before you. Best of luck to you on whatever decision you make.
