I have been following the news about the deadly mud slide in Arlington, Washington, home of Steve Gorr and Cascade Archery. Hoping that Steve and his family are OK. Does anyone know if the area of the slide might affect him? Steve is one of our sponsors here and a good guy.

Steve's a great guy. Prayers for his safety and all the folks in that area.

Steves house is far away from the slide area. He is west of the slide so he doesn't have to drive around.

The mud slide is in Oso closer to Darrington my home town. Steve's house is far enough out of the way for him to be safe. It is a terrible situation and the death toll is going to be a lot higher soon. Wishing I was over there to help...

Thanks for the reports guys. Sure hope they find most of the missing folks alive and OK.
-
Got an email from Steve today. All's well with him

Good to know. I feel so deeply for those with loved ones still missing and fear the death toll may climb significantly higher.

David, I can tell you everyone over there would appreciate knowing how you fell. There is several places you can donate money to help the victims. From talking to friends of mine who have been in in the rescue/recovery process the death toll is almost double of what is being told by authorities at the moment. New numbers to come tomorrow but still probably wont be all...

So sad and so many worthwhile needs out there. Wish I were rich instead of ...well whatever!
Prayers for those affected and more still for those elsewhere unsure of their loved ones situation.
Went thru 3 Mile Island on a birthday and couldn't call home to find out anything and every media outlet tried to "out-lie" the next, using sensationalism to draw watchers/listeners.
Lord in your mercy...
