Title: new bow
Post by: ccarp00 on December 20, 2007, 09:52:00 PM
I am having a hard time deciding which bow I want.  I like the bob lee one piece recurve and the chek mate falcon.  Maybe you all could help me out and send me pictures of yours to help me decide.

Both are good bows from folks that stand behind them.

The only way is to shoot them both a lot first.

ccarp00,

I too was interested in a Bob Lee 1-piece but I currently shoot Palmers and Bob Lee take-down recurves.  They're both great bows.  The Palmers are real fast and smooth on the draw but you have to work a little to get them pretty quiet.  The Bob Lees also draw smooth are plenty quick and only require cat whiskers on the string to get them very quiet.  They're both extremely reliable and are great looking bows.  I can almost guarantee you will very satisfied with either one.  I don't have any experience with the Checkmate's but I've heard nothing but good things about them here also.  Hope this helps.

Bob Lee's come from TEXAS so they gotta be good!

You probably cannot go wrong with either choice.  I too am making new bow decisions:
BW PSA or PTF or Morrison or RER Arroyo or ACS or Great Plains SR Swift or Border or ?????

So many bows, so little money......

Shoot both bows and you decide which bow fits you the best, both are good choices.  Good Luck and Shoot Straight.
