I was wondering what are the advantages/disadvantages to a larger 2 blade head like a el grande grizzly?
or a three blade type head.
Also i would like to ask all you 80# guys what wait heads do you use.
-
Grant,
A bigger hole means more blood on the ground!!! You have enough horsepower to cut as big a hole as you want. IF your bow is tuned to the arrow broadhead combo and the broadhead is mounted true, wind planing will not be an issue at all.
Where in AB are you??
Are you a member of the ATBA??
-
Field tips outa a 80# will kill most critters on earth!
-
I am not a member of the ATBA I am from Grande Prairie alberta. I plan on going to the longbow safari in red deer this summer. that will be my first trad, shooting event. I am just new to this community threw the SCA
-
If I can get to the Safari, I hope to meet you there.
What kind of arrows are you shooting out of that beast??
-

Grant,
I sent you a PM.
Robtatto,
I didn't have to hunt HIM, HE was hunting me!!!! Glad he found me too!
-
I have not hunted anything yet, with a bow any way. My goal is to be shooting 140lbs As i said before SCA is how i started. I would like to be able to shoot armor peirceing arrows as the would have shot in history. I guess i could go hunting for as you say whatever I like "as long as it has no armor for now"
-
Dang Brian and you thought I had a he-man complex!
-
I still think yours is a complex, HE may be HEMAN!! LOL!!!
Grant, I sent you another PM.
Talk to you this weekend.

Personally just not sharp enough.
I like Cut on Contact 140gr Steel Force Serated Blades. If it's sharp enough to cut me while trying to install, then it's gonna do alot of damage. The two blade low profile rarely requires any tuning and gets deep penetration with more vital cutting than the "3 blade requires alot of tuning type head".
If I can carry it in my pants pocket, not cut me, why bother using it.
So here we go,,,,The blade saga continues.
3 head guy next.. :biglaugh:
