Just received a Crow Creek and love it.
About 5 years old and is 55# @ 28".
all Cherry riser w/ accent stripe of Ebony and maple. cherry veneers with bamboo core on limbs.
I maybe be new but i do know i love this bow. Who else has one? And what are your thoughts?
Elmer patton makes a fine bow, the workmanship is up there with anyone, the only complaint I have ever heard was that his grips are in consistant in that one will vary a little from the next, but that is strictly hear say, You see alot of them here in Arkansas where he builds them.
I love mine also. Got a 62"r and only 45@28" I draw almost 30" SMOOOOTH and she is a shooter. I am thinking about swapping for another if I ever fod one.Great bows I like it! <><<><
I've got eight with another on order. First class bows and bowyer all the way. Getting ready to sell one as it is a little too much weight for me.
Martin
I LOVE Mine. Elmer is Top Shelf.
Martin, What is the weight on the one you are selling?
Hey Ron
It is 62"53#@28'. Blackfeather

Top three are Crowmags and bottom four are Blackfeathers. "Peachey" here on the gang is my good friend and hunting buddy and he has a few of them also.(that is him on the bottom pics) He can shoot "lights out" with them.
Martin
Nice looking group of bows Martin. I think I used to own the one second from the bottom. Elmer does fine work! Sent you a pm.
ttt one more time for Elmer.
That is a lot of bows, you must have punchcard, you should be getting your free one anytime. :biglaugh:
Pastor Carl
Does Elmer make a 1 piece longbow? I'd love to see pictures if he does.
I really enjoy my Crow Creek bows. They are pretty and smooth shooters for sure. Rock On Elmer!!!

nice bows. does he have a site? do they make a 58"?
Pete
Yes he makes a 58" and no he does not have a website. Doesn't need a website as he always has orders and if someone backs out of an order he always has someone else to sell it to.
Martin
hey martin nice bows. i had a gorgeous blackfeather once. i am curious to get your opinions on the difference between the crowmags and the blackfeathers. i like the small/shorter riser on the crowmag.
here's a pic of the blackfeather i owned.

Notice Joe said "owned"....still can't figure out what strange virus he caught that caused his temporary insanity to sell that beautiful bow....and he didn't even give me first refusal despite multiple compliments I gave
I like them both but if I had to only pick one I would take the Crowmag. I like the slightly smaller riser and smaller grip. I don't know,it just feels better to me,but the Blackfeather seems to be the choice for most people I have talked to or have seen on this site.
Martin
joe, the virus is called 'stupidity'. i get it quite often. lol
did i tell you i sold my Thunderhorn 3 pc ?? HAHAHA....just kidding.
martin, does elmer use the same limb widths for the crowmag as he does for the balckfeather? man i want to shoot one now.
I think they are the same width Joe. I have not measured them but they look the same to me.
Martin
thanks martin!
