Elmer patton makes a fine bow, the workmanship is up there with anyone, the only complaint I have ever heard was that his grips are in consistant in that one will vary a little from the next, but that is strictly hear say, You see alot of them here in Arkansas where he builds them.

Top three are Crowmags and bottom four are Blackfeathers. "Peachey" here on the gang is my good friend and hunting buddy and he has a few of them also.(that is him on the bottom pics) He can shoot "lights out" with them.

Pete
Yes he makes a 58" and no he does not have a website. Doesn't need a website as he always has orders and if someone backs out of an order he always has someone else to sell it to.

hey martin nice bows. i had a gorgeous blackfeather once. i am curious to get your opinions on the difference between the crowmags and the blackfeathers. i like the small/shorter riser on the crowmag.

here's a pic of the blackfeather i owned.

Notice Joe said "owned"....still can't figure out what strange virus he caught that caused his temporary insanity to sell that beautiful bow....and he didn't even give me first refusal despite multiple compliments I gave

I like them both but if I had to only pick one I would take the Crowmag. I like the slightly smaller riser and smaller grip. I don't know,it just feels better to me,but the Blackfeather seems to be the choice for most people I have talked to or have seen on this site.
