I ask, my fellow outdoorsmen/women, to say a prayer for my grandfather, Lowell Parker. I've just learned that his battle with the ravages of old age came to a close today when he took his own life.
I was fortunate to be able to share many chats with him about past outdoor experiances. While he was a gun hunter, and retired from hunting due to poor health, he loved mentioning to me how he too, took to bowhunting (although, thanks to a later tear in his rotor cuff, he was forced to hang up his longbow far too early...)
The outdoors lost a great man today. My only hope is that one day I'll be able to hunt beside him like I'd always hoped too...

Always such a sad thing where one takes their own life in frustration and dispair. Many prayers for all concerned and close to grandpa Lowell...
May the Holy Spirit grace you all with the warm embrace of our loving Lord, and push away and sense of "what should've/could've" been said or done.
Keep the Son in your eyes.
