I was called from a mate of mine the other week and was informed that a close friend of ours was killed in a Blackhawk crash off the Soloman Islands.
He was serving in our SAS and the chopper he was in, fliped of the edge of the navel ship whilst trying to land at sea. I'd done this same task many times before a few years ago in the same location.
His body has never been found and is thought to be in the chopper still, 2 miles from the surface.
Josh left behind a wife who is due to have there first child in a few weeks.
He stood in harms way, at the gates when a wolf was knocking, as I have done in a past life.
Please pray for his wife and unborn child. I have, but I think maybe some more could help.
In Oz, alan.
See you when I see you Josh, put a brew on digger, I'll bring the tea & sugar.

A sad tale played out too often in our world today... May we lift up all who serve under every flag for freedom against the minons of evil.
Lord, be with all who loved this man and help his wife and unborn child to feel your love, protection and strength.

Thanks for letting us know Alan. We very much appreciate the sacrifice of those in the service of our countries and we often forget about the sacrifices of the spouse. Prayers sent for the family and that many will come to their aid.

I can only imagine what his wife must be going through. We will pray for that family. Also for that sweet baby that will never know his/her father. God will protect them. We just have to trust in His plan no matter how hard it is to understand.
God bless them....

Many of your country's brave soldiers stood beside us in Vietnam. I will never forget that. Your mate died protecting not only his country but the rest of the free world. It's a hard thing to accept but there is comfort in knowing he died doing his duty. May God bless.
