Help please, trying to find out what Bear offered for arrows in 1960. I did a search but no answers or pics. I am doing a retro quiver and would like to make arrows to match. I know alum was around and fiberglass and wood but what was most common?

The arrows available in the 1960 catalog were 24srt-x aluminum and micro-flite which were both three fletched with solid shield cut 3 1/2" feathers. and there was bear glass and the cedar arrows were cedar king-three fletched with 5 inch barred and white shafts, cedar chief-three fletched with 5 inch barred and blue shafts and cedar sprite-three fletched with 5 inch barred and varnished shafts. All arrows had some cresting as well.

Wadde, thank you for the info. I have seen some pictures of the wood arrows but there was no date for the catalog the pic was from. Thanks agian.

If you do a search on the big auction site for Vintage Bear Arrows you'll see examples.

You can buy a CD with the catalogs by year from 3 Rivers. It helps with stuff like this for sure

Trying to reproduce vintage arrows is fun.
Here's a few sets of 1960 Bear arrows I've made up in the past.

I have seen Daryls work...beautiful!
The white cedar kings he made for me were fabulous.
Here is a set of Bear reproductions from the either the 1959 or 1962 catalog made by Matt Gundock. I don't recall which year it was from at the moment

I do too. I remember now where I saw them. DirtyBird here on TG had a 1959 Bear Alsakan Hunting Package for sale - unused a few years ago. It included arrows, bow, target, etc...
He lives near me, as does Matt Gundock. I really liked the arrows in that package. Matt met DirtyBird and measured out the arrows - cresting etc...and these are the resulting replicas.
Matt also modified a 3R Swift cutter to get the fletch very close to the original fletch style.
