Title: Someone Educate Me on Bear Sights
Post by: warpedarrow on December 01, 2015, 10:24:00 AM
I am interested in the factory sights on the target bows from the sixties that were inlaid into the riser.  I have bows with the single pin, one with the single hoop, and now I see a couple on the auction site with three red hoops.  Doing a search on here I see a Premier Hunting sight mentioned and a Premier Target sight mentioned but all of the pictures are no longer showing up.

Can anyone name the sights and describe them for me?  Thanks.

I always forget that I have the Bear catalog cd.  Using it I have answered my own question but now have a couple of others.

The Premier Bowsight that I have is the 7". I have the sliding hood but no sight inserts.  Looking through the catalogs from 1964 to 1969, I cannot find the red ball tipped post sight like the ones on the '72 Victor and the '64 Polar.  Was this something that came standard with the sight and was not offered as an accessory?

Also, on the '65 Kodiak Special, is this the Reynolds sight that was offered in the catalog?  I find no markings on it.
