Got the retro bug when I pulled out my old 35 lb grizzly for my daughter to shoot. Found the old box of bear arrows too. Thinking of picking up a 62 grizzly I have been eyeballing. Anyone shooting vintage bear arrows or similar???

Shooting Micro-Flite #7's
Fiberglass shafts from the 60's

I shoot different MicroFlites from different bows - mostly 8s and 9s. Not hunting with them this year though.

I've bought and shot all kinds of vintage arrows. One thing I've learned from bitter experience – old plastic nocks are NOT to be trusted. I won't shoot any now with nocks that I haven't replaced, and it has seriously dampened my enthusiasm for buying more.

Agreed. I'm shooting Microflite #8's from the sixties as well as some unused vintage forgewood arrows. Shooting vintage arrows is fun with the old bows.

That is all I shoot outside of the arrow shafts that I make. I pick up the old wood arrows, strip them, make sure they are safe and fletch them up. ALWAYS remove the original nocks and replace them. I also have a hundred or so of 60's Port Orford cedar shafts which are left overs from my dads archery shop. I use them also.

That is what I would like to do is match up an old bow with old arrows. I have a box of bear wood arrows that are in excellent shape I just need to match them up with a bow now. Thanks for the replies..

I "found" a doz. Bear Metric Mag arrows I made for a hunt in 1997. Maybe I can use them but will replace nocks and reglue inserts. I found that Ferrle-tite gets brittle after awhile.
I was able to buy bare shafts from an archery store in AZ. years ago. Wish I had bought them all!,
They work out of my 55#, 1972 SK. Maybe for late season?
