I recently acquired a vintage Wing Archery "Slime Line" Competition take-down recurve bow. It is marked "Competition" (NOT Competition-II) which leads me to believe it is an earlier model. However, I have yet to find any more information on it!
After endless searches across the depths of the internet and driving countless miles to every pro-archery shop in my area, I have come up nearly empty handed and have only been able to find information on the Competition-II..
It is a beautiful and well-kept bow, but nobody I have encountered has been able to find much additional information on it..
I was wondering if anyone might be able to give me more information about this unique piece of history or point me in the right direction? As I am not an active archer I would probably be looking to sell it but don't even know where to start as a price point, so any suggestions would be extremely helpful as well!
I've attached a couple images for reference, it really is in pristine condition!
The bow measures 70", 33# and the serial number on both limbs is SLC-58.
The top limb States: Slim Line Competition
The bottom limb states: Wing Archery with "DIV. OF HEAD SKI CO. , INC." underneath the insignia.
Any help is very much appreciated!! :)
