Title: Looking for Old Yew Longbow info!

Latest find, a nice 68" Old Yew bow made by someone who knew the craft. I'm thinking early 1900's. Horn nocks with what appears to be a recent crude replacement on the upper limb. Looks to be personalized with the initial S or a swastika symbol. "Prior to WW11 and the stigmatization by Hitler the symbol was viewed as Lucky or Auspicious". Truly Appreciate all comments and opinions...... That is what I thought as I got my first look. My hands were actually shaking a bit as I pulled the cash out to give to the guy. I won't tell you what the asking price was but I will say it was very cheap!! The guy had a long string on it and started to pull it back a bit... he was telling me it was a Navajo made bow...Jeez!!

Nice find Larry , cant tell you who made it, tips dont really look like any style that I recognize but the handle and strike plate are very familiar with several bowyers of the California area for the 20s and 30s.
One tip is cow horn , the other antler.

Not quite as cool John as a certain Osage, static tipped, snake skinned backed bow I see posted here occasionally!     :)  
 
Nothing more has come up on this old classic but it sure looks nice hanging on the wall with a few others from the era...... If this one could only talk!
