Title: Old Bows at Gun Show
Post by: Blackhawk on March 22, 2015, 08:06:00 PM
Just about every weekend there's a gun show somewhere in the Northwest, and I like to check  them out looking for bows, quivers, books, and related archery stuff.

Today I came across a couple old classic recurves on a vendor's gun rack.  One was a '62 Kodiak Magunum in a nice 48# while the other was a Browning Wasp in 47# (probably from the 70's).  They had seen some use, but neither bow had been abused, had no drilled holes or twists, and were great refinish candidates.

I've picked up nice bows at gun shows in the past, but it's extra nice when you bag a double like these.

I reconnected with an old archery and bowhunting buddy from the 70s while I was working a gun show about 7 or 8 years ago. He came cruising by looking for bows.
