Title: kmag help
Post by: sheepdogreno on February 18, 2015, 01:37:00 AM
I'm acquiring 2 kmags this week.one rough for fishing and one mint for shooting/hunting .Couple of questions. When did bear start the accessory point on the riser on the kmag. Have you ever seen gray glass on a Kodiak magnum? Thanks

1971 standard foe bushing before that it was an option. Yes 71-72 have gray glass

If the Kodiak Magnum logo is on the belly, its more likely a '72.

It's on the backside. So does that make it a 71?

Gray is common glass for kmag, 1962, 1964, 1969-1972.

The Kodiak Magnum was a popular model and gray glass was used in the years Horney Toad stated. I believe not too rare.

Jack
From here it looks like that early seventies bow on the far right measures closer to 53"

Nice looking bunch of bows.  Kind of makes my harem of five look a bit small though

Brad,

Could be the crummy picture as I think they are all the same length. That is an old picture and many of those bows I probably don't own any more. I have owned a number of Magnums but probably only have twenty five or so today.

Shoot them enough and you will find the finger pinch.  I used to say the same thing but then my fingers got sore and I went back to a 60" bow for awhile.

I've shot both nonstop for the past cpl hrs with no issues 3 under. We shall see if that changes as we get more acquainted.
