Title: fiberglass arrows
Post by: dkard on August 05, 2013, 09:50:00 PM
Came across a dozen fiberglass arrows/shatf, like new. They are fletched but no points intalled.

No inserts either. Shafts are 32.5" long.

Only marking is "QUALITY FIBERGLASS SHAFT   1"

They are sort of tan/putty colored shafts

Anyone still shooting these? Any idea on inserts or points for these things? Maker?

thanks dave

Glass shafts are great for target shooting and take alot of abuse. I shot several deer with them but they can explode if you hit bones. Inserts etc. used on aluminum arrows work fine and the Footed Shaft can fix you up.

Tan color sounds like either shakespeare, Herters, or gordon glass.

Any of those are great shooters.

Hey Gary...long time.  Things down South are unseasonably cool.  Been a very comfortable Summer.  In late July it was 43 one morning.  Like the proverbial "Cold day in July".
