I got an old arrow with some others that has the plastic furel
Of a Hilbre head on it. I was wondering if the blades on those heads were removable/replaceable.
If replaceable I would like to find a blade to put on this head to add to my small collection of vintage arrows/heads
Thanks...Mike

They are fixed blades. Tough head to sharpen and the plastic ferrule was a weak spot.

Mike....Hilbre made two different styles of the four blade. I don't have an extra in these, but they show up in the big auction site fairly regular. They all are common heads.

The furel I have on the arrow is like the bottom one (1966) pictured. I purchased a 57 or 58 Kodiak and it came with some arrows one had the Hilbre furel on it. I would like to find another to replace . If anyone has one like it they would part with PM me maybe we can work something out.

Didn't hilbre also make a head for colt archery.Seems like I have some broadheads that have Colt with the firearm logo stamped in the ferrel.
