Title: building a straight limbed longbow

Is it possible to build a "short" straight limbed longbow, say 56" and 75#??????Thanks for the help.

There's a 95# 62" on another web site for sale so I'd say yes. What pull lenth, 28"s? Bet it would stack badly.

I've shot a hill bow for many years, so stack and handshock are in my vocabulary.....

I am going try for another as well this winter.  I am going for 55 @26 64''.  When I talked to Tom Schulz about length, that is what he thought would be smooth at that draw.  I got the impression that he didn't think it would be so good for my son, who has a longer draw than me.  Maybe if the limbs were left as wide as possible and if the handle was slightly deflexed  you could get by with more weight at a shorter length.

56" strait limbed bow, would stack incredibly on the  average 26-28" draw
