Could someone please explain the routered sight window on some handles? I always thought that meant type 2 but have since learned type is about serial # and riser shape.
could someone post a type1 and type2 photo side by side?
type 1s are more sought after I understand-do routered sight windows affect collectability?
TIA!!

Because I was born in 1952, I thought TIA was Tampa International Airport. (TIA was used in the movie Blood Diamond to mean This is Africa)
So what what is TIA?
TIA is "Thanks In Advance"
Thank you, internet slang dictionary.

Good Question Tony! Had to wonder myself, and add to the internet lingo.
Must be some people who can show a type 1 and 2 on here. I can only show a type 1. Never owned a type 2
Dave, Would you care to show a couple fine pieces side by side? You know the two I would prefer to see :help: :D

Very nice Dave! That Straight grip handle is something else!

are all the type 2's routered or is it just a coincidence?

I'm confused by the type 3/type 2 labels? I have not heard of a type 3 and thought serial #s<2000 were type 1's but the label says type2?

was the customized handle done at the Bear Factory? I cant read the gold script but it looks similar to a customized A on auction now.

I nodded off 10 minutes before the end of that a handle auction yesterday. When I woke up a few minutes later saw that our very own.................won that at what I thought was a great price. Perhaps he will be kind enough to show us a pic or two when it arrives. Congrats! :archer:

Seems to have been a lot of ended listings because of "error" in listing!
