My cousin gave me a Bear recurve last nite. Would like to know more about it's past. The bow is maple with black lam on the back and face. The handle reads KL-60124 AMO 60" 50#. It measures 57" un-strung. The bow is in really good shape, no limb twist, 2 small scratches on the upper limb face. The shelf doesn't look like there is much wear. Still has the Bear medallion. Thanks in advance for any info Jerry

Also, would like to know what the string length should be. The string on it now only has it braced at 5". What would be the proper brace ???

Sounds like a Bear Black Bear to me. Any pics?

Trap, technology has passed me by. I'll see if the wife can post some pics. Thanks

You can't talk about a bow without sharing pics or you will be banned! Those are the rules. :readit:
A 56" string will work on a AMO 60" Recurve.

That's it horney. Got her braced out to 7 1/4. Shooting 55/60's, she may well be my next go to bow. Seems fast, hitting my spots consistantly. Might have to put the Wallace longbow down for awhile till I get a little closer to the The Black Bear. Thanks guys
