Dick Wilson was Manager of Shakespeare Archery Division around the same time as Ernie Root was involved with the company and left just around the same time as Ernie did. Dick was often in the catalogs from this period. What was his relationship with Ernie Root and Root Archery? How much did Wilson influence the designs? Did his affiliation with Ernie Root continue after they both left Shakespeare? (http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9T4IgoR7b2s/UTdJ657tqiI/AAAAAAAAA4A/BPcyRz4RwK8/s1600/root+golden+eagle004.jpg)

I'm impressed with your research of the Shakespeare Company and find the info you provide on Ernie Root informative and interesting.
With Howard, Norman, Bob and Jack Wilson running the Black Widow company out of Missouri, could Dick be the fifth member of this family? :dunno:
Most likely
...but...

There was a long post about Root Archery on that other site done by the son of Ernie Root if I am not mistaken. Maybe a search over there? Come back and tell us.

Ernie's son , a retired judge from Big Rapids, Michigan had a running post on *********** about his dad and the bow business. Lots of good info on that post.
