I just traded for a bear kodiak magnum serial no ku25364 can anyone tell me when this bow was made
-
1970 or later. Can you describe it?
-
Green limbs white tips an overlay wood riser an gold bear medalion
-
Is the wood riser stained green, or is it a two piece riser?
-
It is not stained what do you mean by 2 piece riser
-
1970-72 dual tropical hardwood riser with accent stripe. The green futurewood models had green futurewood tips. If no stabilizer bushing 1970. Stabilizer bushing and Kodiak Magnum silkscreen on back side of bow[away from you when held to shoot] 1971. Silkscreen on belly side [facing you when held to shoot] 1972.
-

Yes, 1970. The stabilizer bushing became standard in Bear bows 1971 but could be special ordered in prior years.
-
The 1970-1972 bows had grey glass on the limbs. The 2 piece riser means 2 different kinds of woods glued together, separated by an accent stripe.

im not wanting to sell but i was wondering what its worth its in very good shape.

Jerry,
Go to recurves on the auction site. Type in Kodiak Magnum in the search box. Then look at completed listings. Should be able to find something similar. Take a middle of the road price and deduct 10% and that will give you some sort of idea as it will cost about that much to sell something there.
