I hope this got bowstring makers attention. My name is Jon Stewart from Michigan. Several archers in Michigan have begged for archery equipment and sent this donated equipment over to Iraq to a group of soldiers who shoot archery when they are not fighting. This group has formed an archery club called Camp Cuervo, Iraq, which I am lucky enough to be a member of by affiliation only. This effort is headed up by John Vasos, Vice President of the Michigan Longbow Association. John has been doing this for a couple of years now and has sent many, many bows, arrows, armguards, glove/tabs ect over to Iraq. He usually does this mailing at his own personal expense. He has put out a call for bowstrings.
My request is that if any string makers out there could make a string or two and send them to me with your name, they will be sent to Camp Cuervo Iraq and to our heroes in battle.
Any length and strand size would be helpful. Mostly 58,60,62 and 64 inch lengths.

Thanks in advance,
Jon,

Thanks in advance.

How bout us fellas puttin together a string board, some material, and one of them Doin the twists dvd's so they can make what they need? If someone has a board, I'll spring for a couple rolls of B-50.
I can supply a few DVD's for that, plus some stickers that lay out the board so all it needs is nails and drilled.
Chad

I think sending the board is a good idea. I can make one if you want it.
I'm gonna send 4 rolls of B-50. if anybody wants to sweeten the pot they could send some serving and a serving jig.
:archer:
I don't remember what all I sent, but I did put some serving tools and serving in the box.
Chad
Yes you did, four of them with serving string along with 6 videos, 12 wax,12 strings, 3 board set ups, 7 spools of material. I sent you an e-mail. Jim (heydeerman) sent four spools of b-50 via Three Rivers, Pat Byrne 20 strings and Mike Gerard 7 strings. That ought to keep the grunts busy. Rene A., the soldier I am sending the items to is real excited about getting this stuff.
I'll get them out ASAP and ask Rene A. to contact you guys. Can't thank everyoen enough for thier support. the troops really appreciate it.
