My favorite classic Bear bow (it just feels the best to me). Similar to the Grizzly, but longer. Mine are 62 inches and have the Zebrawood riser. My sister has a '67 w Zebrawood riser, but it has a slightly different riser shape. My two are the quietest bows I've ever loosed; do not need any silencers (w a Flemish string anyway).

These are pretty nice bows. My dad has killed a couple deer with his 67, which was rescued from the trash, actually in quite good shape. It looks identical to yours. He using now using a '62 Polar that was also a trash pickup... He works for the street dept and actually finds a bow discarded now and then

Amazing how an outdoor use item like a bow can go so many years and be in such good shape?
I got one from the original owner. He used it lightly the summer of 68, then it sat on a shelf for 42 years... the other had a worn shelf/plate but otherwise looked new.

I have a 68 Tigercat. They are great looking and shooting Bows! I shoot mine 5 or 8 times a year.

I always have loved the tigercats. The 1968 usually has black glass and the 1967 usually has brown glass, both have the nice zebrawood risers.

I just got '69. Broken Arrow---What brace height do you use? 8 1/4" seems to work.

Mine are quiet and smooth at 7 - 8 inches. Never went higher than that. I use 59 inch strings.
I can use the same string on both bows; even the nocking point stays the same. I had a 63 Kodiak and 02 Take Down I could swap strings on too.
Oddly enough, I can use the same string on my Martin Savannah too; nocking point is the same, the brace height drops about 0.5 inches (the Savannah works fine w the bigger recurve loops; thought they might slip off, but they didn't). Just wondered what I could get away w in a pinch...
