Some great bows Nick.
It made me go get mine off the shelf and see how it compares.
Not as shiney but still very cool.It was sprayed green at some point,but most has been rubbed off. Smallest tips I think I have ever seen on a production bow.

I have pics if you would like to see em.

Quite a collection of nice bows.  I really like the wood on those and the variety of glass color.  I wish some of the odd glass colors were still available.

Larry can tell you everything about your bows including who built them.

It's tough to beat the Hi Speed (1965) and the Hunter (1973).

Here it is. The riser is laminated with a lighter piece of rosewood on the belly side. It also has the rosewood underlays on the tips.
The tips are compared to a .22 short

Absolutely beautiful.Great pics of some great bows.I have to say I'm a Bear guy at heart but those are some gorgeous pieces of lumber right there and I'll bet they're great shooters as well.Thanks for sharing.

That is a great looking bunch of Hi-Speeds!  Although nowhere near as nice, my green one would look great in that line up.  I love the glass colors that Howatt used.  I still kick myself for dragging my feet and missing out on a sky blue glass DH Hunter...

I've seen the 54" and 58" Hi-Speeds but didn't realize that they made a 62" version, very nice.

Dang, the only bows that I've seen with tips that small are the vintage Wings.  Beautiful grain on the belly side.

I love the way that the Howatts shoot.  From my daughter's Bandito up front to the Palomar built by Damon himself in the back, they are all great shooting bows.

There are not enough Damon Howatt threads, I hope you don't mind me posting some bows.

Brad, Awesome Bows! Also, I should have wrote when I first posted the pictures, but the 62" writing is an error. The bow is 58", must have been a Friday afternoon bow!

the vintage Brownings designed by Harry Drake had really small tips as well...then of course they went large as things got more automated after his departure.

You got some nice bows there for sure though...very nice indeed and great to see what later would turn into the Mamba.  I think I like the Hi Speeds much better with their different colored glass.  :)

It's far and away the best Hi-Speed I've ever had.  But, it's also the heaviest.  It's a real rocket launcher.  I'm not a big fan of shorter recurves, but these bows are something special.
