Title: 67 Kmag - strip or no strip question
Post by: recurve_shooter on November 15, 2012, 02:30:00 PM
After reading the thread about the camo 67 KH, I though I would toss this one up for you experts.

I have a 67 K Mag factory camo that I was thinking of stripping down to the wood.  It is my understanding there were lots of these made, but I wanted to be sure.  Does anyone know of anything unusual about this model/yr/etc. that would cause you to want to leave it as is?

Also, what do you use to strip the paint? acetone? paint remover? etc?

Thanks for your input

If it were mine, I'd strip it unless you want to keep it as a collectable.  I've used lacquer thinner to strip paint off of numerous bows and haven't harmed the finish. I use rags, nothing abrasive.
