I have a limb that has a scuff on it. It is near the edge. It doesn't go all the way through the finish. But the edges of the scuff are slightly lifted...it looks kind of like your skin when it starts to peel from a sunburn. Anyway, I was told to use gun stock finish. So, I got some Birchwood Tru-Oil. Is this ok or correct to use for something like this? Should I lightly sanded the area with a fine grit paper first?
Tru Oil is easy to use and very waterproof. Sand first and use as fine a grit as the job will allow. If you have lifted bits of material on the limb glue those down with an AC glue first.
Hi Bjorn. What is and where do you find AC glue?
super glue
It is actually called CA glue , stands for Cyanoacrylate , Like mysticguido said , super glue.
It comes in many different brands as well as vicosity.
Thank you gentlemen. I know superglue....not CA glue.
