I've had a few Polars and enjoyed them.  I am not certain, but I think your bow is a 1957,It could also possibly be a 1958, really difficult to tell between the two.  somewhere here in the posts history there is a post from a member "Jeremy" which helps with identification.  That's where I would begin to look for an answer about the bow.
