Title: Bear Magenesium raiser on takedown bows
Post by: twbhunter on September 14, 2012, 08:34:00 PM
In 1971 for my 17th birthday my parents gave me a right hand Bear magenesium B riser  with a forest green finish ; limbs made a 60" bow with a 46# pull.

I tried shooting this bow for several months without any success and then I put away.  Years later I learned that I was left eye dominate and started purchasing left hand bows.

Did Bear make a left hand magenesium riser?

Will limbs that fit a right hand riser also fit a left hand riser?

I have posted three times on Trad Gang to trade my right hand riser for a left hand raiser with no response.  Any ideas on who I could contact that might trade a left hand riser for my right hand riser.  I would love to start hunting with this bow.

Thanks for your time.

Tom,
Bear did make a left hand magnesium riser in both the A and B lengths. The limbs will interchange on both the right and left hand riser. As far as finding a trade I don't have an answer. Just keep trying and maybe it will happen. There were more rights than lefts and most right hand shooters don't have left hand bows lying around.
Good Luck,
Monte

Trading it will be very difficult. Perhaps the best would be to sell the RH and then buy a LH.
