Most of the folks that you meet in this world of traditional archery and bowhunting are top-notch.  Philip ranks right up there at the top!

I'm happy to call him my friend.  We both share that crazy passion for old Bear bows......go figure!  Maybe more so regarding Bear T/Ds!!!!!  I know we live less than 30 minutes or so apart, but Philip is a busy man with his business, so you rarely get to see him.

This photo will attest that Philip does occasionally step away from the funeral home and stretch a string....now and then!!!  He's the second guy on the right (with that weird Bear T/D that has the signature of some guy named "Fred" on that light colored sight window).

Philip - your generous spirit shows no bounds!  You're a good man.

You guys have to cut it out now!
My wife sometimes reads these threads and if she reads this,
I may have to take her on another vacation!

Thanks guys. I feel the same about all of you. This is a wonderful forum and I enjoy everyone's posts very much.

PS: Hayslope, I had such a great time with you all at Whittingham that day and Thanks for not calling me the chubby guy.

.......Philip

I had to show you guys what Larry M sent me.

Larry sent me these amazing barrel tapered cedar shafts. They are 5/16 at the nock to 23/64 down to 11/32 at the tip end.
He sent them crested, nocks installed and sealed.
I fletched them with 5 1/2" natural turkey feathers, cock feather dyed red and went to the targets.
These arrows just might be the best wood shafts I ever shot!

Completely unnecessary Larry but so appreciated.
Your a class act!     :)    THANK YOU LARRY!

Hi Phil
Just caught your post and yes I do appreciate that picture just as you say for the beauty of the arrows.  I have the exact same card, framed and sitting on my work bench shelf for inspiration. Of course with my lovely wifes approval. (have to get a pic up) Happy to hear those shafts are working well for you. In my mind they are the best flying woodies around and couldn't have ended up with a nicer archer!
