Picked this Kodiak Mag up a year ago, everything about it says 64, but the serial reflects a 62.
Anyone else see this deviation in 60's models serial numbers.

The serial number on 1964 and earlier Bears does not indicate the year it was made. That rule only works on 1965-1969 Bows.

Ahhh. Good to know (should have known). Appreciate the education sir!

Beautiful bow.

The 1964 is my favorite mag.

Beautiful, my favorite Mag also.

I have a '65 K.M. that looks just like your bow. I also have a '70 that has the straight feature stip that terminates on the back of the bow rather than the fadeouts. The '65 has more recurve and draws smoother to my draw length than the '70. The "65 is rated at 46# at 28" and the '70 is rated at 50#. The '65 is much nicer to shoot and seems just as fast as the '70. I really like the design of the earlier K.M.s both functionally and asthetically.

I like the 1965 too, but they have different glass than the 1964.
