Picked up this Ben Pearson bph-52 at a yardsale for $35. At first I thought it was normal but after further inspection, it just seems different. The first thing that I noticed is that the grip is a very high wrist grip with a very full palm swell, your hand is almost completely horizontal when you're holding the bow. Also, the bow is made of 3 pieces of zebrawood instead of one. Another odd thing is a silkscreen star under the bph-52 logo. I know that other companies used stamped stars to show a repaired or imperfect bow. Here are the pics so just let me know what you can figure out.
I am also looking to find out how much it is worth. I know that the mods don't necessarily like people asking that but I am not trying to sell it on this thread. I got a base price for standard bph's but don't know if it applies to this bow.

Sorry if the pics are too big and thanks in advance to all who help.

I've seen those bows before, other than the higher grip, I don't think there is anything "different" from other bows I've seen. Value is hard to gauge, but I've not seen them go for much over $140 on the auction site.

Thanks for the help. I would say I did pretty well because I picked it up at a yardsale for $35.

Most times on those short bows the grip was high. If you don't like it that high, a file and some sandpaper will fix it.
