Title: Odd Ball Bear Latch style TD
Post by: Shane Reed on June 16, 2012, 11:04:00 AM
Has anyone ever heard of a Bear takedown that was olive drab, with a textured wrinkle style finish from the 90's?

Yes. I had one.
I shot it for a while but it had zero soul to it.
I tried to give it time to grow on me but it never did. Very boring from top to bottom.I will try and find some pics I have with it back then.

However.........It's still a Fred Bear Take Down and in itself is part of a long and great heritage.

yes, Philip is right --- I was going to buy that bow--- but it just did not have it---
I think it might have been plain maple under the paint--- perhaps it was just me -- but Philip knows his stuff---   Classicbowman

Rob, were you going to buy from dealer or private sale? Anyone know the year of the bow? Also does anyone know what tri color one piece bow Bear put out that only had a production number of 800 according to the late Frank Scott? Thanks
