I have two Bear Grizzly's that have static tips (I guess thats what they are called) One is a double shelf 62" 35#er and the other is a single shelf 57#er with aluminum in the limbs. Both look sound. Can they be shot. I can't shoot the 57#er (too heavy for me)so I guess its just a wall hanger but the 35#er would be fun to shoot. Your thoughts please.

Jon,
It isn't recommended that you shoot the aluminum lam bows. I have several and but have never tried to string any of them.

The double shelf Grizzly is most likely a shooter examine for cracks and separations esp along the sides and edges. String and pull back slowly add a bit more all the time exercising and checking for noises. The alu lam bows I have shot took an ugly set eventually as the alu fatigued. Like Jack says it is not recommended.
